Le succès des arrêts de travail, des grèves et la puissance des manifestations du 28 mars, leur caractère unitaire et intergénérationnel, tout comme la durée du mouvement et son ampleur dans les lycées et universités montrent une mobilisation historique, pour exiger le retrait du CPE et l’ouverture de négociations.

II est urgent que les plus hautes autorités de l’Etat prennent la mesure de la situation et répondent sans ambiguïté à cette revendication.  Pour éviter l'enlisement du pays dans une crise profonde, le gouvernement doit s'y résoudre. L'intersyndicale demande au Président de la République d'utiliser ses prérogatives constitutionnelles pour que le CPE soit retiré.

Les organisations syndicales réitèrent l'exigence de lever l'hypothèque du CPE en le retirant et à partir de là d'engager des négociations immédiates sur l'emploi, la précarité, les modalités d'accès à l'emploi, la formation et l'avenir des jeunes.

Elles appellent les salariés, les étudiants, les lycéens, dès aujourd'hui et tout au long de la semaine à s'appuyer sur la dynamique unitaire, à multiplier les initiatives pour exprimer leur exigence de retrait. Elles les invitent notamment à intervenir auprès de tous les parlementaires.

Les organisations syndicales sont déterminées à amplifier la mobilisation. Elles mettent le gouvernement en garde contre toute tentative de coup de force notamment en direction des étudiants et des lycéens. D'ores et déjà elles décident d’une nouvelle journée d'action interprofessionnelle d'arrêts de travail, de grèves et de manifestations le 4 avril.

DECLARATION DES ORGANISATIONS SYNDICALES D'ETUDIANTS, DE LYCEENS ET DE SALARIES

The success of work stoppages and strikes and the power of the demonstrations of 28 March, their unity and intergenerational character as well as the movement's duration and magnitude in high schools and universities, prove to be a historic mobilization, to demand the withdrawal of the CPE and the opening of negotiations.

It is urgent that the highest authorities of the State take the measure of the situation and meet this demand without ambiguity. To prevent the country from descending into a major crisis, the government must make up its mind.  The inter-union leadership demands that the President of the Republic use his constitutional prerogatives to withdraw the CPE.

The unions reiterate the demand that the government lift the burden of the CPE by withdrawing it and, from there on, engage in immediate negotiations on employment, social insecurity, the terms of access to jobs, education, and the future of young people.

They call on workers, college students, and high school students, as of today and throughout the week, to emphasize dynamic unity, multiplying the initiatives to express their demand for the withdrawal of the CPE.  They invite them to, among other things, pressure all the members of Parliament.

The unions are determined to expand the mobilization.  They warned the government against any attempt to strong-arm, especially targeting college and high school students.  They have already decided on a new day of inter-professional action, work stoppages, strikes, and demonstrations on 4 April.
